The client
Resurgence was founded by readers and authors. It publishes edited romance stories as serials, with new chapters released each week.
Independent authors can publish on the platform and use free ready-made cover designs from the Resurgence art department.
The challenge
Resurgence wanted to offer good-quality stories at a low cost to the reader. Readers pay for the chapters they choose with tokens. If an author abandons a story, the tokens a reader spent on it are refunded.
