The client
Picturepath was started by a parent whose autistic son relied on laminated picture schedules. Research began in 2016 and the app launched in 2017.
It was developed with input from the National Autistic Society, special educational needs teachers, child psychologists and parents.
The challenge
Many autistic children use picture timelines to know what is coming next in their day. Printed and laminated cards get lost, cost money to replace and cannot easily be changed when plans change.
